By creating an account or using ImproBuddy, you agree to these terms. ImproBuddy is a place to practice spoken English with other learners. Please use it thoughtfully and treat people with respect.
Using your account
- Provide accurate account and profile information and keep your login credentials private.
- You are responsible for activity performed through your account. Contact us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed it.
- Use the service for lawful English-practice conversations. Do not use it to spam, solicit, impersonate, threaten, harass, or abuse another person, or to interfere with the service.
- Do not attempt to access another user's account, private information, or systems you are not authorized to use.
Respectful conversations
Be courteous to your conversation partner. Do not pressure someone to share personal information or continue a conversation they want to end. You can end a call or skip to another partner using the available controls. Do not record, redistribute, or publish another participant's voice or personal information without their permission.
Matching, calls, and transcription
Matching depends on other learners being available. Audio calls require a compatible device, browser, network, and microphone permission; uninterrupted connection is not guaranteed. Live speech recognition and Faster-Whisper transcription may be unavailable, delayed, or inaccurate. Browser-based recognition may rely on a browser provider's service. Transcripts are learning aids, not authoritative records. ImproBuddy does not currently offer AI-generated feedback, language certification, or professional advice.
Availability and changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features, and the service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or technical reasons. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or that every browser and network will support every feature.
Misuse and account access
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when we reasonably believe an account is being used to harass or harm others, spam, break these terms, or threaten the service or its users. We may also take action when needed to protect users or maintain the service.
